EMBRACING OUR DIFFERENCES 2008
A Juried Art Exhibit with Cash Awards The mission of Embracing Our Differences is to use art as a catalyst for creating awareness and promoting the value of diversity, the benefits of inclusion and the significance of the active rejection of hatred and prejudice. Embracing Our Differences will be displayed throughout the month of April 2008 at Island Park along Sarasota's beautiful bayfront. The exhibit will contain 39 bill-board sized (16 feet by 12 feet high) artworks. The exhibit will again be displayed in North Port, Florida throughout the month of May 2008. Since 2004, more than 400,000 visitors have viewed the exhibit. We invite you to participate in creating a society that is more inclusive for all by submitting your work reflecting the theme of "embracing our differences".

August 8th, Twisted Sisters will be presenting the art and jewelry of Caterina Lionti. Caterina’s mixed media paintings are a beautiful blend of the mandalas she creates during meditation and complex fractal designs. As with her paintings, Caterina weaves painstakingly intricate jewelry designs using tiny delica beads in patterns reminiscent of Italian mosaic. In addition, she also creates Italian-style, hand-knotted strands of lamp-worked beads, imported Venetian glass and Murano millefiori. Desiree Kantrim's Solo Show @ The Orange Park Library-August 2007
I'm having a solo show at the Orange Park Library through the month of August.Simply called "The Collection", it features seascapes, bird scenes , semi abstracts as well as a Jacksonville Skyeline view. It's as varied as life itself- and therefore exciting in it's many facets. Well worth the trip !! Desiree
