ATTN: All Jacksonville Artists!! The Art Center Cooperative Inc. is EXPANDING!

As some of you know, the officers of the Art Center Cooperative, Inc. have been working to secure an additional facility for our use. We submitted a proposal to the owner of the Bryan Building on Hogan Street. Our proposal has been accepted!! We will launch the debut of our additional space this March during the March 7th Artwalk.

This March Artwalk we will open the Bryan Building space to existing Art Center members in addition to unattached Jacksonville artists. Please contact us if you would like more information about hanging for the March 2007 Artwalk at this exciting new location.

ATTN: Center Artists - March Artwalk!

Hi Everyone....

OK, as everyone has heard, we will be @ 2 locations for this coming artwalk:
The Carling & the Bryan Building so therefore we're gonna need some
additional volunteers, wine, snacks, & time.

First: Hanging Day is this Saturday 03/03/07 & Sunday 03/04/07 from 10am-2pm
@ both locations.

*If you would like to hang at the Bryan building it's an additional $20 for
members & $40 for non-members & this is for March Artwalk night only.


Second: We will need volunteers at each location for the cash table,
wine/snack table & any extra help is always welcomed. The Art center's
calendar has been updated with the positions that need to be filled. Just
click on the date & replace the word "open" with your name.

Third: Everyone needs to bring at least one bottle of wine (2 is preferred)
Hopefully by hanging day so we can determine how much extra we need to buy.


Fourth: Food. I'll give you guys an update on food in my next email.

JCAAA Printmaking Workshop -Saturday , Feb 24, 2006. Open to All!!!!

Congratulations Brian!!!!

I personally wanted to congratulate Brian Gray for his great success at February's ArtWalk. I've been in the art scene in JAX for over 10 years & I can say that the patrons are truly evolving & growing. In the past, the most popular work that was sold was pretty landscapes, palm trees, still lifes & works that matched a buyer's loveseat. That was great for those particular types of artists, but it was hard for an artist who would break from the norm to be taken seriously. I'm proud of all our artists & am excited to see the success of all the various types of work that our Art Center exposes to Jacksonville... ok i'm done being cheesy ;)

February Artwalk @ the Art Center!-The Best Yet!

This was one of the best Artwalks yet. The Art Center racked up about 10 sales!. New gallery artist, Brian Gray, sold his whole inventory! Rock ON!!!!!
