Mary Atwood won first prize in the annual photography contest at the Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens in Stuart, Florida. Her winning photo was the unanimous choice of the judges. In addition to a blue ribbon, she was awarded a $100 gift certificate for the botanical garden’s monthly plant sale which she donated to Tropical Ranch's butterfly garden project at the local hospice in Stuart.

Michael Cenci's winning photo

Michael Cenci recently found out he was one of the 12 winners of The St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Gardens photo contest. It's the 16th annual contest. There were more than 600 entries from all over the United States, parts of Canada, and the U. K. The winning photos will be on display at the Alligator Farm and in the 2010 calendar, which can be bought at their gift shop and on their website. He also won $200. The winning photo was his - Tri-colored heron chicks.
