Call to Artists: THE METHOD to my madness

Seeking artists and craftsmen who want to show us what they do best. Mixed media, textiles, glass, sculptures, photography, jewelry and more will be accepted for this show. This all inclusive juried exhibit wants your best effort reflecting your personal approach and method toward the artwork you create.
Opening: Saturday, August, 14, 2010
Time: 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.
Location: The Art Center II, 229 North Hogan Street, Jacksonville, Florida

Format for submission: Please submit your images on CD. CDs will not be returned.

Deadlines for submission: CD postal submissions must be received by Saturday July 24, 2010.

Mail to - The Art Center, PO Box 11383, Florida, 32239. Thursday, July 22 or Friday, July 23 for hand delivered CDs. Drop off is at 31 West Adams Street between the hours of 11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.

Size limitation: All artwork must be no larger than 60 inches or weigh more than 50 pounds.

Cost of entry: $25 for 3 pieces, $5 per additional piece with a total limit of 5 pieces.

Prize money: A minimum of $500 in prize money will be awarded.

Notification of accepted work: Thursday, July 29, 2010

Delivery of accepted pieces: Accepted pieces must be hand delivered to The Art Center II location at 229 North Hogan Street on Tuesday, August 10 or Wednesday, August 11 between the hours of 4:30 and 7:00 p.m. Shipped work must be sent to The Art Center, PO Box 11383, Jacksonville, Florida, 32239 and received no later than Thursday, August 12. Shipped work must include a return label and appropriate postage. Please Note: Insurance coverage for artwork is not provided by The Art Center and is the sole responsibility of the artist(s) submitting work.

Commission on sold work: There is a 40% commission to benefit The Art Center on all work sold by non-members. Commission on works sold by members will be according to artist agreements per member status.

Pick Up: between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. only, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 229 North Hogan Street.
*Art work submitted should be original work by the artist and not completed under academic supervision and must have been completed within the last 3 years. If accepted, no reproductions of originals will be accepted.
